Gainsborough Hotel The Gainsborough feels like an English country home in London. It is close to London's museums, the Albert Hall, Harrods and the restaurants and shops of Chelsea and Knightsbridge. The Gainsborough is a converted Victorian house with a classic style and an informal atmosphere. It is named after the celebrated artist, whose portrait of the Duchess of Richmond is in the spacious lounge/reception. The hotel is a short walk from the Natural History Museum and South Kensington Tube station, which has a direct service to London Heathrow Airport. Close by are the exhibition centres of Earls Court and Olympia.
